Scholarship aplication

We are glad to announce that OPW2023 will extend 10 scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students, making it a unique opportunity for students interested in the event’s theme to participate without worrying about registration, accommodation, and meal costs. This scholarship allows applicants to focus on gaining as much information as possible from the event and take advantage of the opportunity to network with other professionals in the field. The executive and scientific committee will allow knowing if you are one of the beneficiaries before June 30th by emailing you.

A. General Requirements to Apply for the OPW2023 Scholarship

1. Demonstrate interest and commitment to the event’s theme. Provide a letter of motivation explaining why you want to attend the event and how the scholarship would help in your research or professional career.
2. Be of legal age at the time of application.
3. Be an undergraduate or graduate student in the relevant field of the event.
4. Provide an updated curriculum vitae showing experiences and skills related to the event’s theme.
5. Commit to actively participating in the event and sharing the knowledge gained with colleagues and/or the scientific community.
6. Be willing to allow your name and photograph to promote the event.
7. Accept the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
It is important to note that these requirements are general and may vary according to the specific policies and requirements of the scholarship for the OPW2023 event. Therefore, it is recommended to carefully review the terms and conditions before applying to ensure compliance with all requirements.

B. Required Documents to Apply for the OPW2023 Scholarship

All the necessary documents to apply for the OPW2023 scholarship must be submitted via email to opw2023@ufrontera.cl with the subject line “Scholarship Application – [applicant’s name].” The required documents are as follows:

1. Motivation letter: a brief letter of motivation (1-page maximum) should be provided explaining why the applicant wants to attend the event and how the scholarship would help in their research or professional career.
2. Curriculum vitae: an updated curriculum vitae showing experiences and skills related to the event’s theme should be provided.
3. Letters of recommendation: in some cases, letters of recommendation from experts in the field may be required. Applicants should check if this documentation is necessary before applying. Max 2.

C. Scholarship terms and conditions

1. The scholarship covers the registration, accommodation, and meal costs for the OPW2023 event.
2. The scholarship is granted based on the evaluation of applications by a selection committee designated by the OPW2023 event organizers.
3. The scholarship is personal and non-transferable. It cannot be assigned or sold to another person.
4. The scholarship recipient must comply with the requirements and conditions established in the OPW2023 scholarship policy and actively participate in the event.
5. If the scholarship recipient cannot attend the OPW2023 event for any reason, they must immediately notify the scholarship organizers so that the scholarship can be awarded to another applicant.
6. The scholarship recipient agrees that their name and photograph may be used to promote the OPW2023 event.
7. The scholarship recipient agrees to abide by the OPW2023 event rules and act professionally and respectfully toward other participants and organizers.
8. The scholarship recipient agrees to share the knowledge gained during the OPW2023 event with colleagues and/or the scientific community.
9. The scholarship recipient agrees that the OPW2023 event organizers may cancel or postpone the event without prior notice and are not responsible for any costs or damages incurred by the scholarship recipient in such a case.
10. The scholarship recipient agrees that the OPW2023 event organizers are not liable for any injury or loss of property suffered during the event.
11. The scholarship recipient agrees that any dispute related to the scholarship or the OPW2023 event will be resolved through mediation or arbitration, as determined by the scholarship organizers.
